Everything you need to know about the art, the collection, and bringing a painting home.
THE ART & COLLECTION
Are these original paintings?
Yes — every work in our collection is an original painting. We do not sell prints, reproductions, or copies of any kind.
Where do these paintings come from?
All artwork was personally acquired by our grandfather throughout the Soviet Union, with a focus on Russia and Ukraine, home to two of the finest academic fine art traditions of the 20th century. This is a limited offering from a private family collection assembled over decades.
Are the paintings signed?
Yes. All paintings come signed by the artist.
Are the paintings framed?
All paintings are sold unframed to allow you full creative control over presentation. Custom framing can be arranged upon request — simply reach out and we'll guide you through your options.
Is this a limited collection?
Yes. This is a limited offering from a private family collection. Once a work is sold, it will not be restocked or replaced.
Can I reserve or hold a painting?
We do not offer holds or reservations. All works are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I request additional photos or information?
Absolutely. Please inquire and we'll be happy to provide additional images, detail shots, or any other information you need.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Canada only. For inquiries about international shipping, please contact us directly — we may be able to arrange a custom quote for select pieces.
How are paintings packaged and shipped?
Unstretched canvases ship rolled in. All shipments are sent via national couriers with tracking and signature on delivery, and typically arrive within 3–5 business days.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat $35 within Canada, and complimentary on orders over $500. Oversized works (over 40") may incur a small surcharge, which we'll quote before checkout.
RETURNS & DAMAGE
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Returns are subject to a $50 shipping fee. Works must be returned in their original packaging and in the same condition as received. Refunds are issued within 5 business days of the artwork safely arriving back at the gallery.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
In the rare event a piece arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and artwork. We'll arrange a full replacement plan or refund at no cost to you.
CONDITION & AUTHENTICITY
What does "As-Is" mean?
All artworks are sold "as is" and "as available."
Condition details, including any known wear, restoration, or imperfections, are disclosed on the product page and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase. These descriptions and images are provided as a guide and do not constitute a guarantee or warranty of condition.
Due to the nature of original and vintage works, signs of age and use are to be expected and are not considered defects.
That said, we stand behind the safe delivery of every piece. If an artwork arrives damaged in transit, it will be covered under our shipping protection policy and resolved in accordance with our return guidelines.
Can I request a Condition Report?
Yes. You may explicitly request a Condition Report before purchasing. This document will list:
- Craquelure: Fine cracking in the paint.
- Lining: Whether the original canvas has been glued to a new backing for stability.
Disclaimer: The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the work is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear. All works remain sold "As-Is" per the policy above.
